The market closed with the Composite Index rising 2.40 points to close at 1,175.15. The All T & T Index gained 2.86 points to close 1,804.30 points, for a year to date fall of 7.4 percent. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.26 points to close at 72.89 points, up 47.22 percent, year to date.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 8 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 6 with lower offers.
Gains| First Citizens Bank gained 25 cents after trading 1,000 shares, to close at $32.25, Guardian Holdings ended trading with 25,000 shares with a value of $325,000 changing hands with a gain of 40 cents to close at $13. JMMB Group gained 5 cents to end with 65,961 shares changing hands to close at a new 52 weeks’ high of 90 cents and Sagicor Financial Corporation closed with 11,300 shares changing hands and gained 5 cents to $7.05.
Losses| Calypso Macro Index Fund lost 2 cents to close at 52 weeks’ low of $21.97 after trading 492 shares, National Enterprises traded 15,000 shares and Republic Financial Holdings and 68 shares and both lost 1 cents each to close at $10.40 and $108.99 respectively.
Firm Trades| Trading firm are, Angostura Holdings with 2,525 shares to close at $15, Clico Investment Fund closed with 510 shares changing hands to end at $22.60, Grace Kennedy at $2.55 with 24,880 shares changing hands, Massy Holdings with 60 shares to close at $51.42. National Flour Mills traded 680 shares to close at $2.64, Prestige Holdings closed at $11 with 25,500 shares, Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago with 1,339 shares changing hands closed at $58.75 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed trading with 510 units at $22.60.
