TTSE drops again on Friday

The market remains weak as reflected in the quotes for Republic Holdings and Scotiabank. The former last traded at $110 but have a closing bid at $109 to sell 340 shares with no buyers posted a bid and Scotiabank with the last traded price of $57.40 with an offer at $56.95 to sell 1,611 units with the bid at $55 to buy 2,000 shares.
The Composite Index declined by 0.17 points to close at 1,134.91, the All T&T Index fell 0.02 points to close at 1,815.61 and the Cross Listed Index declined by 0.05 points to 60.32.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 4 stocks with the bid higher than the last selling price and 7 with offers that were lower.
Gains| Trinidad and Tobago NGL added 24 cents and closed at $21.25 with 143,406 shares traded for $4,152,824.
Losses| JMB Group lost 1 cent in ending at 58 cents with 8,680 shares trading, Massy Holdings ended with 100 shares changing hands as the price dropped by 4 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ low of $53.95 and West Indian Tobacco fell 1 cent to close at $126.29 while trading 3,004 shares.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings ended with 18,000 shares changing hands to close at $13, Calypso Macro Index Fund traded 320 units at $24.99, Clico Investment Fund ended at $22.60 with 9,556 shares changing hands, Grace Kennedy traded 8,906 shares to end at $51.5, Guardian Holdings closed with 100 shares changing hands to end at $13. Guardian Media closed at $19.75 as 1,100 units changed hands, National Commercial Bank had 20,000 units changing hands at $2.40 and Sagicor Financial Corporation closed with 23,507 shares changing hands to close at $7.25.
