Prices highly mixed on Junior market

Prices movements were even when the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed on Wednesday, but the market index slipped moderately after trading 57 percent fewer shares worth 55 percent less than on Tuesday.
Trading ended with 34 securities changing hands compared to 28 on Tuesday and closed with the prices of 11 stocks rising  11 declining and 12 remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index shed 12.67 points to settle at 2,524.43. The PE Ratio averaged 11.3 based on ICInsider.com forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 3,035,084 shares for $7,617,641  compared to 7,037,763 units at $16,944,311 on Tuesday. Limners and Bards led trading with 40.9 percent of total volume with 1.24 million shares, followed by Lasco Financial 12.6 percent with 383,345 units and Tropical Battery with 8.5 percent market share for 258,623 units.
Trading ended with an average of 89,267 units at $224,048 in contrast to 251,349 at $605,154 on Tuesday. The average trade for November to date is 177,369 units at $378,968, compared to224,173 units at $461,269 on Tuesday. Trading in October resulted in an average of 230,868 units at $535,509.
At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading for the market shows three stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and four with lower offers.
At the close of the market, Blue Power lost 37 cents ending at $3.10, with 100 units passing through the market, Cargo Handlers shed 60 cents to end at $6.30, in exchanging 548 units, Caribbean Assurance Brokers fell 12 cents in closing at $1.80 trading 1,919 units. Caribbean Cream rose 70 cents to $4.70, in an exchange of  100,050 shares, Caribbean Flavours gained 12 cents to close at $1.75 trading 18,545 stock units, Consolidated Bakeries ended 3 cents higher at $1.43 after crossing the market with 201 units. Derrimon Trading lost 36 cents to end at $2.45, with investors swapping 89,137 shares, Dolphin Cove lost 1 cent in closing at $6.99, with 259 units changing hands, Everything Fresh closed at 75 cents, with a rise of 1 cent trading 562 units. Fontana shed 28 cents to close at $4.72, in exchanging 70,292 shares, Fosrich gained 30 cents in closing at $3.65, with a transfer of 72,728 stocks, General Accident rose 30 cents to settle at $6.50, with investors switching ownership of 661 units. iCreate slipped to 66 cents, after losing 3 cents trading 200,076 shares, Iron Rock Insurance gained 8 cents to finish at $2.88, with 1,000 units passing through the market, Jamaican Teas lost 17 cents to settle at $5.23 trading 72,005 shares. KLE Group gained 35 cents in closing at $1.45, in exchanging 5,560 units, Lasco Distributors gained 16 cents in closing at $3.15, with an exchange of 37,391 stock units, Lasco Financial lost 8 cents to end at $2.60, transferring 383,345 shares. Limners and Bards gained 4 cents to settle at $2.55 with 1,241,222 shares crossing the market, Lumber Depot fell 3 cents to finish at $1.41, with 69,193 shares changing hands, Main Event gained 2 cents to close at $3, after exchanging 25,145 stock units and Medical Disposables lost 2 cents in ending at $4.65, in exchange for 1,209 units.
