Trading in the early Wednesday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange was moderate in a lackluster market but Honey Bun traded at a new high of $7.50 with a 50 cents gain.
Trading resulted in activity in 23 securities, accounting for a volume of a mere 253,341 units as 8 stocks gained and 5 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 11,015 units compared to an average of 714,361 units on Tuesday
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Wednesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 948.35 points to 176,636.15, the JSE Market Index lost 847.97 points to 158,986.96, the JSE combined index dipped 715.15 to close at 170,111.47 points and the junior market index inched up 6.90 points to 2,206.44.
