The Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange indices, after jumping sharply by more than 6,000 points on Tuesday, lost some ground on Wednesday as the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index dropped 1,818.81 points to 312,823.97 and the JSE Index declined 1,657.14 points to 285,018.02.
Main and US market activities ended with 6 stocks rising, 11 declining and 12 trading firm as 29 securities traded versus 26 on Tuesday in the main market and 1 in the US market.
Main market activity ended with much lower volume than on Tuesday. A total of 2,074,587 shares valued at $32,079,634 traded at the close, in contrast to 3,559,954 shares valued at $75,487,760 on Tuesday.
Trading in the US dollar market ended with 22,200 units changing hands with a value of US$4,884. The JSE US Equities Index closed with a rise of 0.19 points to end at 171.26 with 1 ordinary stock trading.
Market activity resulted from Proven Investments trading 22,200 ordinary shares at 22 US cents.
Market activity ended with 74,092 units for an average of $1,145,701 in contrast to 136,921 units for an average of $2,903,375 on Tuesday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 241,276 units valued at $5,727,239 and previously 252,112 units valued at $6,043,987. December closed with average of 686,156 units valued at an average of $8,654,832 for each security traded.

Major price changes saw, JMMB Group falling by $1 to $25, Kingston Wharves falling 78 cents to $32.78, PanJam Investment slipped 89 cents to $39 and Proven Investments Preference share falling 85 cents to $5.05.
