Juniors falter but 8 stocks rose – Friday

Trading volume dropped 30 percent from Thursday’s levels, ending with 1,625,906 units changing hands, while value traded, declined 16 percent to $9,305,449 from $11,077,945 on Thursday.
An average of 116,136 units with an average value of $664,675 traded, compared to 193,512 units with an average value of $923,162 on the preceding trading day. The average for the month to date is 100,635 units at $571,332 compared to 129,138 units at $709,705 for October.
At the close of the market, 14 securities traded, versus 12 on Thursday resulting in 8 stocks advancing and 2 declining. The market closed with 2 stocks hitting a record highs and 1 at a low. Market activities ended with 7 securities closing with bids higher than their last selling prices and 2 ending with lower offers.
In trading activity, AMG Packaging gained $1 and ended with 10,390 shares changing hands at $19.50, CAC 2000 traded 1,000 units and closed at a new low of $4.50 having lost 60 cents, as investors continue to react negatively to the impact of the loss from the lawsuit for damages on the company’s finances. Cargo Handlers ended with a gain of $1.20 with 32,200 shares changing hands at a new closing high of $12.50, Caribbean Cream closed with 1,000 shares changing hands and rose 24 cents to end at $7.85. Caribbean Producers gained 8 cents and closed trading with 145,000 units at $3.58, Dolphin Cove closed with 200 units changing hands and gained 20 cents to end at $15.49, Honey Bun with 100 shares changing hands closed at $6.10, Iron Rock Insurance traded 900 shares and gained 30 cents to end at $3.60. Knutsford Express traded 2,600 shares in closing at $22, Lasco Distributors ended with 957,467 shares trading to close at $7. Lasco Financial rose by 10 cents with 345,100 shares changing hands to close at $3.10, Lasco Manufacturing fell 5 cents and closed at $4.95 with 128,758 shares changing hands, Medical Disposables traded just 500 units but rose 15 cents to $5.55 and Paramount Trading jumped $2 with 691 units changing hands to close at new high of $29.
