Trading volume rose just 3 percent over Friday’s level on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday, resulting in an exchange of 3,199,174 units valued at $8,299,261, lower than the $9,592,204 expended on the 3,096,487 shares traded on Friday.  
At the close, the market index rose 20.20 points to 3,091.26 as 23 securities changed hands with prices of 10 rising, 8 declining and 5 remaining unchanged, compared with 24 securities changing hands, previously. FosRich Group traded at an intraday record high of $4.60 but drifted lower at the close.
Trading ended with an average of 139,095 units for an average of $360,837 in contrast to 129,020 units for an average of $399,675 on Friday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to units 114,510 valued at $401,574 and previously 110,022 valued at $409,011 for each security traded. In contrast, March closed with an average of 195,942 shares valued at $777,498 for each security traded.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading shows 6 stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and 10 with lower offers.
At the close of the market, AMG Packaging ended trading 10 cents higher at $2.30, with an exchange of 10,000 stock units, Cargo Handlers settled with a loss of 5 cents at $10.95, with 4,494 shares changing hands, Caribbean Cream ended trading of 1,098 shares and rose 20 cents to close at $5.70. Caribbean Producers traded 9,500 units, with a loss of 9 cents at $4.86, Derrimon Trading ended 20 cents higher at $2.70, with an exchange of 89,835 shares. Dolphin Cove dropped $1.50 in closing at $12.50, with an exchange of 1,784 shares, Everything Fresh ended at $1.41, with 8,900 stock units changing hands, Elite Diagnostic settled 8 cents higher at $3.10, with 17,159 units changing hands, Express Catering ended trading of 1,900 shares 48 cents higher at $7.99. FosRich Group closed at $4.30 after trading 23,408 shares at a record high of $4.60, Fontana finished trading 288,466 shares, with a loss of 4 cents in closing at $3.95,  General Accident  closed 5 cents higher at $4.30, with an exchange of 81,000 stock units. GWest Corporation  ended with a loss of 20 cents at $1.30, with 82,735 units changing hands, Honey Bun  concluded trading of 4,145 shares at $4, iCreate lost 1 cent and closed at $1, with an exchange of 1,011,174 shares, Indies Pharma  finished with a loss of 1 cent at $3.05, trading 1,066,647 shares. Jamaican Teas  traded 5,000 units and gained 33 cents to close at $3.53,  Lasco Distributors finished 1 cent higher at $3.71, with an exchange of 415,000 units. Lasco Financial settled 49 cents higher at $4.99, with 1,254 shares changing hands, Lasco Manufacturing  ended trading 24,028 shares at 3 cents higher to $3.48, Main Event traded with 6,200 shares at $5.40. SSL Venture Capital ended with a loss of 5 cents at $1.60, with an exchange of 29,947 shares and Stationery and Office  concluded trading at $6.75, with 15,500 shares changing hands.
