Junior Market softness continues – Tuesday

The Junior Market slipped again marginally on Tuesday by 0.92 points to close at 2,934.94 after an adverse advance, decline ratio 2 to 3 with securities trading climbing sharply over Monday’s level.
At the close of market activities, 26 securities changed hands compared 15 securities changing hands on Monday. The prices of just 6 stocks advanced, 9 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
Trading ended with an exchange of 4,365,939 units valued at $14,517,264 compared with 3,553,595 units valued at $11,612,887.
Market activity ended with an average of 167,921 units for an average of $558,356 compared to an average of 236,906 units for an average of $774,192 on Monday. The average volume and value for the month to date, amounts to 196,383 units at $783,941 compared to 204,255 units at $846,336 on the prior trading day. March closed with an average of 149,999 units valued at $623,819, for each security traded.
