The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange declined in trading on Wednesday with the market index slipping just 2.24 points, to close at 2,744.92 with 19 securities changing hands, versus 22 on Tuesday.
At the close of market activities, the prices of 7 securities advanced, 4 declined and 8 remained unchanged, trading ended with an exchange of 1,672,389 units valued at 8,029,321 changing hands, compared to 1,743,185 units valued at $9,048,340 on Tuesday.
Trading ended with an average of 88,020 units for an average of $422,596 in contrast to 76,450 units for an average of $393,406 on Tuesday. For the month to date an average of 100,724 shares valued at $465,215 and previously, an average of 101,859 shares valued at $400,678. December closed with an average of 568,732 units valued at $3,447,957 for each security traded.

At the close of the market, Access Financial closed $2.19 higher at $44.20, with 2,185 shares changing hands, after several weeks with no trading taking place with the price offered on Blue Power being well below the last traded price, the stock finally traded and dropped $9 to $35, with 6,236 units changing hands. CAC 2000 finished at $8.40, with 45,372 shares, Caribbean Producers finished trading at $4.30, with 60,947 units, Dolphin Cove finished with a loss of 20 cents at $16.50, with 13,455 stock units. Eppley settled at $11, with 381 units, Express Catering ended trading 9 cents higher at $4.50, with 10,000 shares, FosRich Group traded at $2.65, with 18,300 shares, General Accident finished trading with a loss of 23 cents at $2.72, with 29,500 shares. GWest Corporation closed at $2.81, with 17,628 stock units, Honey Bun ended 35 cents higher at $4.50, with 16,828 units, Jamaican Teas settled at $4.50, with 11,100 shares, Jetcon Corporation ended trading 5 cents higher at $4.10, with 84,211 stock units. Lasco Distributors ended with a loss of 10 cents at $3.50, with 450,720 shares, Lasco Financial concluded trading at $5.25, with 662,745 stock units, Lasco Manufacturing finished 8 cents higher at $3.75, with 1,200 units, Paramount Trading traded at $3.48, with 6,353 shares and Stationery and Office finished trading 20 cents higher at $5, with 234,583 stock units. In the junior market preference segment, Eppley 9.5% finished at $7.25, with 645 shares trading.
