Junior Market rises again on Tuesday

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange rose for the second day, in trading on Tuesday with the Junior Market Index advancing 21.05 points to close at 2,747.16 with 22 securities changing hands, versus 18 on Monday.
At the close of market activities, the prices of 8 securities advanced, 10 declined and 4 remained unchanged, trading ended with an exchange of 1,743,185 units valued at $9,048,340 changing hands, compared to 2,369,619 units valued at $9,249,191 on Monday.
Trading ended with an average of 79,236 units for an average of $407,859 in contrast to 131,646 units for an average of $513,844 on Monday. For the month to date an average of 101,859 shares valued at $400,678 and previously, an average of 103,318 shares valued at $400,214. December closed with an average of 568,732 units valued at $3,447,957 for each security traded.

At the close of the market, AMG Packaging ended 5 cents higher at $2.60, with 89,579 stock units, CAC 2000 finished $1.10 higher at $8.40, with 20,800 shares, Cargo Handlers settled at $10, with 134 shares, Caribbean Cream ended trading at $5, with 10,785 shares, Caribbean Flavours traded with a loss of 50 cents at $11, with 6,922 stock units. Consolidated Bakeries closed 44 cents higher at $2.44, with 1,500 shares, Dolphin Cove finished 60 cents higher at $16.70, with 161,496 stock units, FosRich Group traded with a loss of 9 cents at $2.65, with 41,450 shares, General Accident finished trading 45 cents higher at $2.95, with 1,000 shares. GWest Corporation closed with a loss of 19 cents at $2.81, with 75,766 stock units, Honey Bun ended 5 cents higher at $4.15, with 12,000 units, ISP Finance finished at $12.08, with 4,114 shares, Jamaican Teas settled at $4.50, with 11,000 shares. Jetcon Corporation ended trading 5 cents higher at $4.05, with 84,600 stock units, KLE Group finished trading with a loss of 5 cents at $2.25, with 108,000 shares, Lasco Distributors ended with a loss of 10 cents at $3.60, with 697,680 shares, Lasco Financial concluded trading with a loss of 6 cents at $5.24, with 285,466 stock units. Lasco Manufacturing finished with a loss of 21 cents at $3.67, with 44,035 units, Main Event settled with a loss of 94 cents at $5.06, with 43,786 shares, Medical Disposables ended trading with a loss of 5 cents at $4.95, and 11,300 shares trading and Paramount Trading finished trading 48 cents higher at $3.48, with 642 stock units. In the junior market preference segment, Eppley 9.5% finished 5 cents higher at $7.25, with 35,000 shares trading.
