Junior Market index jumps – Wednesday

Investors pushed the Junior Market index up 29.96 points to close at 3,128.45 on Wednesday as advancing and declining stocks were virtually tied.
At the close of market activities, 29 securities changed hands, compared to 28 on Tuesday and resulted in prices of 8 securities rising, 9 declining and 12 remaining unchanged.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading shows 3 stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and 2 with lower offers.
Market activity led to an exchange of 1,339,414 units valued at $6,540,409 compared to 2,553,658 units valued at $8,541,233 on Tuesday. The average trade for the day amounts to 46,187 units for an average of $225,531 in contrast to 91,202 units for an average of $305,044 on Tuesday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 75,993 units for an average of $292,574 and previously, 78,159 units for an average of $297,447. In contrast, April closed with an average of 87,963 units valued $317,267 for each security traded.
At the close of the market, Access Financial closed with a loss of 50 cents at $45, in trading 879 shares, AMG Packaging ended at $2, with an exchange of 9,829 stock units, Blue Power exchanged 21,313 units at $4.40, CAC 2000 traded 541 shares to finish at $12, Caribbean Producers finished trading 1,971 units at $4.80. Consolidated Bakeries lost 20 cents to close at $1.80, with 22,221 shares changing hands, Derrimon Trading ended 20 cents higher at $2.90 exchanging 30,332 shares, Everything Fresh settled 9 cents higher at $1.60, trading6 32 units. Elite Diagnostic ended trading 45,903 shares and rose 20 cents to end at $3.50, Express Catering traded 9,800 shares at $7, FosRich Group lost 25 cents to close at $4.75, with an exchange of 731,585 shares, Fontana closed at $4.50, trading 8,737 stock units. GWest Corporation concluded trading of 4,562 shares, at $1.31, Honey Bun finished at $5, with 119,800 shares crossing the exchange, iCreate settled at 90 cents, with 11,243 shares traded, Indies Pharma ended trading 6,600 stock units with a loss of 8 cents at $3.06. Jamaican Teas closed 50 cents higher at $4.70, after trading 1,000 shares, Jetcon Corporation ended with a loss of 15 cents at $1.95, with 300 shares changing hands, Key Insurance concluded trading of a mere 100 stock units with a loss of 55 cents at $3.35, KLE Group finished at $2.40, with an exchange of 100 units. Knutsford Express  settled with a loss of 60 cents at $11.90, with 3,780 shares changing hands, Lasco Distributors  ended trading with 58,015 shares at $3.75,  Lasco Financial  traded 19,462 shares at $4.68,  Lasco Manufacturing  finished trading 33,085 stock units with a loss of 7 cents at $3.43. Main Event  lost 10 cents to close at $5.40, with an exchange of 102,070 units, Medical Disposables  ended 5 cents higher at $6.85, trading 1,273 shares, SSL Venture Capital  added 8 cents to end at $1.70, trading 331 shares, Stationery and Office  settled 11 cents higher at $9.12, with an exchange of 93,450 stock units and tTech traded 500 shares and rose 38 cents to close at $6.08.
