Junior Market drops – Thursday

The Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market declined 26.40 points to 3,352.15 when trading ended on Thursday with 14 securities gaining, 13 falling and 3 remaining unchanged.
At the close 30 securities changing hands, resulting in an exchange of 3,148,377 units valued $25,692,771, compared to 1,445,986 units for $5,737,818 from 30 securities trading on Wednesday. Dolphin Cove accounted for 2.5 million of the day’s volume.
Trading ended with an average of 104,946 units for an average of $856,426 in contrast to 48,200 units for an average of $191,261 on Wednesday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 85,292 shares at $499,360 and previously 79,883 shares at $401,085, for each security traded. In contrast, October closed with an average of 186,927 units valued at $788,734 for each security trading.

At the close of the market, Access Financial dropped $2 trading 16,310 units to close at $32, AMG Packaging climbed 14 cents in exchanging 400 shares at $2.04, Blue Power closed trading of 6,250 units and gained 12 cents to end at $8. Caribbean Producers ended with 1,000 shares changing hands, after rising 5 cents to end at $4.80, Consolidated Bakeries closed with a loss of 5 cents at $1.75, after swapping 13,400 shares, Derrimon Trading exchanged 4,008 units and gained 5 cents to end at $2.60. Express Catering climbed 10 cents after trading 11,493 stocks units at $6.20, Elite Diagnostic lost 20 cents with 22,648 shares crossing the exchange to close at $5.50, Everything Fresh closed trading of 4,517 units and gained 3 cents to end at $1.18, Fosrich dipped 8 cents as 14,660 units cleared the exchange at $4.70. General Accident closed 51 cents higher at $7.51, with 6,247 stock units trading, GWest Corporation decline 10 cents in exchanging 15,094 units at $1.05, Honey Bun ended trading with 32,600 shares, after rising 30 cents to end at $6.60, iCreate gained 1 to end at 70 cents, with 25,530 shares crossing the market. Iron Rock Insurance dipped 39 cents in trading of 10,840 units to end at $3.61, Indies Pharma declined 5 cents in trading of 65,667 units at $3.05, Jetcon Corporation climbed 22 cents and exchanged 3,500 shares at $1.99, Knutsford Express closed 20 cents higher at $10.60, with 1,409 stock units changing hands. Lasco Financial dipped 10 cents in trading 7,454 units at $5.10, Lasco Manufacturing shed 20 cents exchanging 27,012 units at $5.20, Limners and Bards ended market activity with 95,414 shares to close at $2.72 after falling 26 cents, Main Event ended with 7,783 shares crossing the exchange to close at $5.11 after falling 11 cents. Stationery and Office Supplies climbed 30 cents and exchanged 12,550 shares at $12.50, while SSL Venture ended with an exchange of 33,812 shares to close at $1.15 after falling 15 cents. In the Junior Market preference segment, Derrimon Trading closed with an exchange of 3,316 units and gained 5 cents at $2.10.
