At the close of trading on Thursday, the Jamaica Stock Exchange remained below the 201,000 level with the All Jamaica Composite Index ending with just ending with a loss less 100 points, having gained more than 1,000 points in early trading in the morning session.
Market activity ended with 43 securities changing hands with the prices of 21 stocks ended with gains while 11 declined in the overall market, including 10 stocks rising and 3 falling, in the junior market.
At the close, the All Jamaica Composite Index dropped 96.28 points to end at 200,516.86, the index recorded gains of 20 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index fell 16.65 points to finish at 183,671.40. The JSE combined index climbed 803.25 points to end at 196,077.05, with a gain for the year to date of 24 percent.
At the close with 4,593,992 units valued at $80,066,072 changed hands, compared to 9,349,308 units valued at $92,313,081 changing hands on Wednesday. Of the stocks traded, the junior market accounted for 1,222,548 units changing hands, valued at $5,774,823.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 140,477 shares compared to an average of 363,465 units traded on Wednesday with the average for the month to date being 122,285 units compared to 245,763 units for the month up to Wednesday. November ended with an average of 208,466 units.

Jamaica Broilers ended trading with 7,919 units with a loss of 30 cents at $14.20, Jamaica Producers closed at $9.24 with 26,986 shares changing hands. Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 61,065 shares, to end with a rise of 14 cents at $5.60, JMMB Group traded 126,336 shares and rose 35 cents to close at $13.85. Mayberry Investments ended trading 70,500 shares, to close with a loss of 5 cents at $4.95, National Commercial Bank shed 50 cents and ended at $49 with 67,996 shares changing hands, PANJAM Investment rose 50 cents, while trading 35,474 shares to close at $25.50, ICI JSE fnqts 15-12-16Sagicor Group closed with 19,676 shares changing hands to end 30 cents higher at $27.30. Sagicor Real Estate Fund climbed 66 cents in traded 585,107 units at $10.90, Scotia Group gained 43 cents, with 91,989 shares changing hands, to close at $34, Scotia Investments dropped $3 with 100,320 units changing hands to close at $30, Seprod fell 20 cents to end at $29.80 with 4,238 units changing hands. Supreme Ventures rose 10 cents to end at $4.80, with 32,105 units changing hands, Proven Investments ordinary share traded 431,064 units at 20.5 US cents, JMMB Group 7.5% preference closed at $1.06 with 486,000 units.
