Jamaican stocks in big fall

Thee Jamaica Stock Exchange suffered declines across the board in the early morning session of trading.
Market activity has been moderate resulting in of 22 securities traded at 11 am, compared to 23 on at Tuesday, 5 stocks advanced and 10 declined, resulting in a volume of 5,696,036 shares changing hands carrying a value of $12,516,863, compared 469,127 shares changing hands carrying a value of $3,783,871. The average number of shares traded, amount to 258,911 units versus mere 20,397 units on Tuesday.
The all Jamaica Composite Index fell 527.37 points to 201,159.43 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index dipped 471.56 points to 184,177.43, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index declined 1,053.43 points to close at 195,719.62 and the junior market index dropped 59.98 points to end at 2,425.40.
