Main Market| The JSE Market Index lost 224.48 points to 82,339.30, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index fell 250.98 points to close at 90,777.46 and the JSE combined index declined by 241.19 points to close at 84,012.30.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows 10 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 5 stocks with offers that were lower.
Gains| Stocks gaining with last traded prices, at the end of trading in the main market are, Cable & Wireless closing with 10,000 shares while the price rose 2 cents to 52 cents, Carreras while exchanging 486 shares, gained 49 cents to $38.50. Desnoes & Geddes having 1,077,365 shares changing hands to close higher by 1 cent at $5.31, Jamaica Broilers closed with 5,000 shares changing hands 10 cents up to $4.30, Jamaica Money Market Brokers saw trading in 2,507,430 ordinary shares with the price rising 3 cents to $6.95. National Commercial Bank finishing trading with 48,107 units to close with a gain of 14 cents at $24.85, Scotia Group finishing with 6,000 shares to end with an increase of 2 cents to $20.85 and Seprod closing with 4,000 shares while gaining 75 cents to $13.
Firm| The stocks in the main market to close without a change in the last traded prices are, Ciboney finishing trading with 142,114 shares at 7 cents and Pan Jamaican Investment with 999 shares changing hands ended at $55.01.
Declines| The last traded prices of stocks with losses at the end of trading in the main market are, Sagicor Group concluding trading with 115,500 units as the price slipped 2 cents to$10.50 and Sagicor Real Estate Fund in trading 42,000 shares to closed 10 cents lower at $6.70.
Preference| Jamaica Money Market Brokers 8.75% preference shares 327,300 shares while gaining 4 cents to $3.04 and Proven Investments 8% preference shares traded 206,100 units at $5.05.
