Trading on Wednesday, ended with the market declining after trading 57.5 percent more shares than on Tuesday, at the close of the US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, resulting in fall of 6.63 points to 212.08 in the market index.
Six securities traded, similar to Tuesday with the price of one rising, two declining and three closing unchanged.
The average PE Ratio based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings ends at 13.2.
Overall, 455,125 shares traded, for US$12,464 compared to 289,034 units at US$36,227 on Tuesday.
Trading averaged 75,854 units at US$2,077, in contrast to 48,172 shares at US$6,038 on Tuesday. Trading averaged 78,855 units for the month to date at US$6,201 in contrast to 79,037 units at US$6,451 on Tuesday. March ended with an average of 68,746 units for US$13,137.

Trading rises on JSE USD market

 Trading picked up on the US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Friday, with the market rising after trading 54 percent more shares than on Thursday with a value that was 25 times greater.
Trading ended with six securities changing hands, compared to three on Thursday and ended with the price of one stock rising, three declining and two remaining unchanged.
The JSE USD equity index advanced 0.15 points to 187.55. The average PE Ratio ended at 13.4 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 233,569 shares, at a consideration of US$92,790 compared to 151,769 units at a mere US$3,664 on Thursday.
Trading averaged 38,928 units changing hands at US$15,465, in contrast to an average of 50,590 shares at US$1,221 on Thursday. Trading ended with an average of 42,162 units for the month to date at US$6,883 in contrast to 42,733 units at US$5,369 on Thursday. By comparison, November ended with an average of 51,134 units for US$4,516.

At the close of the market, Productive Business Solutions shed 18 cents in ending at 66 US cents, in an exchange of 95,356 shares, Proven Investments dropped 0.01 of a cent in closing at 25.97 US cents after trading 50,809 stock units, Sterling Investments closed at 2.35 US cents, with 21,196 shares changing hands. Sygnus Credit Investments dropped 1.20 cents to settle at 15.80 US cents, trading 58,948 shares and Transjamaican Highway gained 0.14 US cents to close at 0.94 US cents after exchanging 10 units.
In the preference segment, JMMB Group 6% settled at US$1.05, switching ownership of 7,250 stock units.

Trading rose on JSE US market

The volume of stocks trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market jumped nearly six times that on Thursday with value climbing sharply as well.

Proven Investments had the most stocks trading on Friday.

Trading ended with five securities changing hands with the prices of two stocks rising, none declining and three remaining unchanged, leaving the JSE US Index with a gain of 0.56 points to 185.42.

The market closed with an exchange of 911,996 shares, accounting for $186,648 compared to 156,430 units at $14,081 on Thursday.

An average of 143,274 units changed hands for the month to date, at $21,367 each, in contrast to 139,781 units at US$19,942 on Thursday. The JSE US dollar market closed on Monday with moderate trading with prices falling, leading to a reduction in the US dollar market Index slipping 2.99 points to close at 185.85.

Volumes climbed sharply on the JSE US$ market on Wednesday but with a value that was similar to that on Tuesday as five securities changed hands, similar to Tuesday.

The market closed with an exchange of 168,832 shares, accounting for US$13,590 compared to 60,494 units at US$13,212 on Tuesday. The average trade for the day ended at 33,766 units at US$2,718 in contrast to an average of 12,099 at US$2,642 on Tuesday.
An average of 64,765 shares traded for the July to date, at US$5,489 for each security changing hands. In contrast to 76,698 units at US$6,022. For comparison, June ended with an average of 281,680 units at US$46,735.

Investors traded fewer shares in the JSE US Dollar Market on Monday but committed much more funds to transact the trades than they did on Friday.
At the close, the JSE US dollar Index dropped by 0.30 points to 179.89. Trading ended, with seven securities changing hands up from four on Friday with the prices of two stocks rising, one declining and three closing unchanged.
