A 12 percent fall in the volume of stocks traded, following an 11 percent decline in the value of funds entering the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Tuesday, but the declined in trading failed to stop the market from rising at the close, with trading in 41 securities against 42 on Monday, ending with 18 rising, 14 declining and 9 closing unchanged.
A total of 4,506,827 shares valued at $12,167,838 were traded compared to 5,099,286 units at $13,601,067 on Monday.
Trading averaged 109,923 shares at $296,777 compared with 121,412 units at $323,835 on Monday, with a month to date average of 250,933 units at $676,433 compared to 257,803 stock units at $694,789 on the previous day. October closed with an average of 264,407 units at $832,036.
ONE on ONE Educational led trading with 785,329 shares for 17.4 percent of total volume, followed by JFP Ltd with 485,798 units for 10.8 percent of the day’s trade and Dolla Financial with 445,647 units for 9.9 percent market share.
At the close, the Junior Market Index jumped 40.33 points to settle at 3,892.15.

Trading jumped on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Monday with an 83 percent rise in the volume of stocks traded, valued at 60 percent more than on Friday with trading in 42 securities versus 41 on Friday to end with ten rising, 22 declining and ten closing unchanged.
A total of 5,099,286 shares were traded for $13,601,067 compared with 2,791,802 units at $8,477,949 on Friday.
Trading averaged 121,412 shares at $323,835 compared with 68,093 units at $206,779 on Friday, with a month to date average of 257,803 units at $694,789 compared to 264,910 stock units at $714,119 on the previous trading day. October ended with an average of 264,407 units at $832,036.
Dolla Financial led trading with 1.31 million shares for 25.8 percent of total volume, Jetcon Corporation was next with 850,000 units for 16.7 percent of the day’s trade and ONE on ONE Educational with 786,772 units for 15.4 percent market share.

Modest fall for Junior Market

The volume of stocks trading on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Friday dropped 45 percent with a 48 percent lower value than on Thursday, with 41 securities trading versus 40 on Thursday, with 16 rising, 14 declining and 11 closed unchanged.
Only 2,791,802 shares were traded for $8,477,949 versus 5,141,385 units at $17,482.988 on Thursday.
Trading averaged 68,093 shares at $206,779 compared with 125,400 units at $426,414 on Thursday, with a month to date average of 264,910 units at $714,119, down from 275,458 stock units at $741,310 on the previous day. October ended with an average of 264,407 units at $832,036.
MFS Capital Partners led trading with 682,869 shares accounting for 24.5 percent of total volume followed by Fosrich with 415,494 units for 14.9 percent of the day’s trade and Spur Tree Spices with 323,052 units for 11.6 percent market share.

Trading picked up a bit on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday, with a 16 percent rise in the volume of stocks traded after 12 percent more funds passed through the market than on Friday following trading in 43 securities up from 42 on Friday and ended with 19 rising, 17 declining and seven closing unchanged.
A total of 10,381,562 shares were exchanged for $23,676,379 up from 8,983,578 units at $21,220,946 on Friday.
Trading averaged 241,432 shares at $550,613 compared with 213,895 units at $505,261 on Friday with a month to date average of 287,326 units at $782,476 compared to 290,620 stock units at $799,120 on the previous trading day. October averaged 264,407 units at $832,036.
ONE on ONE Educational led trading with 4.75 million shares for 45.7 percent of total volume followed by Dolla Financial with 1.66 million units for 16 percent of the day’s trade and Spur Tree Spices with 981,468 units for 9.5 percent market share.

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange dropped again on Thursday, with prices of 29 stocks falling and only eight rising, following the issue of the prospectus for Regency Petroleum today, with the volume of stocks traded rising 355 percent with the value surging 438 percent over Wednesday’s trades and ending with 46 securities trading up from 40 on Wednesday and ending with only nine trading unchanged.
A total of 35,681,537 shares were traded for $109,696,406 up from 7,838,155 units at $20,403,040 on Wednesday.
Trading averaged 775,686 shares at $2,384,704 compared to 195,954 units at $510,076 on Wednesday, with the month to date averaging 296,406 units at $821,279 compared with 253,261 stock units at $680,540 on the previous day. October closed with an average of 264,407 units at $832,036.
Dolla Financial led trading with 21.01 million shares 58.9 percent of total volume, followed by ONE on ONE Educational with 2.86 million units for 8 percent of trading, JFP Ltd was next with 2.15 million units for 6 percent market share, followed by KLE Group with 2.15 million units for 6 percent of the market outcome and EduFocal with 1.44 million units for 4 percent market share.

Big drop for Junior Market on Monday

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange fell sharply on Monday, fuelled by falling volume of stocks trading with a decline of 60 percent as the amount of funds passing through the market dropped 56 percent compared to trading on Friday after 41 securities were traded compared with 39 on Friday and ended with prices of 10 rising, 25 declining and six closing unchanged.
A total of 9,587,270 shares were traded for $29,063,432 down from 24,249,069 units at $66,587,007 on Friday.

Losing Junior Market stocks overpower those rising

Trading closed on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Thursday, with the volume of stocks traded rising 43 percent spurred by a 54 percent rise in value over Wednesday, with 46 securities trading versus 42 on Wednesday and ending with prices of nine rising, 28 declining and nine closing unchanged.
A total of 7,669,560 shares were traded for $24,736,067 compared to 5,241,850 units at $16,012,234 on Wednesday.
Trading averaged 166,730 shares at $537,741 versus 124,806 units at $381,244 on Wednesday with the month to date, averaging 228,023 units at $595,987 compared with 237,359 shares at $604,859 on the previous day. October closed with an average of 264,407 units at $832,036.
Spur Tree Spices led trading with 2.49 million shares for 32.5 percent of total volume followed by Dolla Financial with 951,467 units for 12.4 percent of the day’s trade and JFP Ltd with 755,682 units for 9.9 percent market share.
