The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange softened on Thursday with trading in 11 securities against 12 on Wednesday, in the fall of all three main indices and a weak reading in IC bid-offer Indicator.
At the close of trading, with stocks 3 advancing, 4 declining and 4 remaining unchanged and leading to a loss of 0.84 points to 1,330.21 in the Composite Index while the All T&T Index declined 0.72 points to 1,762.60 but the Cross Listed Index shed 0.13 points to close at 121.17.
Trading ended with 366,633 shares at a value of $17,550,757 compared to 204,592 shares on changing hands on Wednesday, valued at $1,442,068.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended at 6 stocks with bids lower than their last selling prices and 5 with lower offers.
At the close of the market, stocks trading on Friday with gains are| National Flour with a gain of 4 cents in closing at $1.64, with 5,446 units changing hands, NCB Financial Group finished trading with a gain of 1 cent at $8.39, after exchanging 82,200 shares and Prestige Holdings closed with an increase of 15 cents in trading of 3,350 units at $7.50.
Stocks closing with losses| Ansa Merchant Bank ended trading 556 shares but fell 50 cents to settle at $38, Sagicor Financial concluded trading with a loss of 32 cents at $8.75, after exchanging 2,369 shares. Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded with a loss of 13 cents and completed trading at $30, with exchange of 1,500 units and West Indian Tobacco shares fell 2 cents and ended at $96, with 117,327 stock units changing hands.
Stocks closing firm| Ansa Mcal completed trading of 45,554 units at $55, Clico Investments ended at $20.20, with 90,056 stock units changing hands, JMMB Group concluded trading at $1.75, after exchanging 200 shares and Scotiabank ended at $63.60, with 18,075 stock units changing hands.
