The usual volume leader of the US Dollar market, Transjamaican Highway, captured the largest portion of shares traded once more, on the US Dollar Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Tuesday. The company grabbed 80 percent of the traded volume, with a 100 percent jump to 472,335 shares from 236,718 stock units on Friday. The value of stocks traded surged 143 percent from that on Monday to US$28,952 from US$11,905. Investors exchanged six securities, down from eight on Monday with prices of two rising, two declining and two ending unchanged.
Trading ended with an average of 78,723 shares at US$4,825 after rising from 29,590 stock units at US$1,488 on Monday, well below the month to date average of 741,824 units at US$244,573 after slipping from 775,541 stock units at US$256,764 on the previous day and May that ended with an average of 180,903 units for US$8,607.
The US Denominated Equities Index declined 2.05 points to 229.79. The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows five stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and none with a lower offer.

At the close, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy fell 3 cents to finish at 20 US cents with 665 shares crossing the market, 
Proven Investments rose 0.58 of a cent to 6.94 US cents with an exchange of 35,065 stock units, Sygnus Credit Investments gained 0.5 of a cent to end at 6 US cents with 57,040 shares changing hands and Transjamaican Highway ended at 5 US cents as investors exchanged 379,041 stocks.
In the preference segment, Sygnus Credit Investments 8% remained at US$10.95 with 10 units crossing the market and Sygnus Credit Investments 8% declined 25 cents to close at US$8.75 with investors trading 514 stocks.
