Trading climbs again on TTSE – Tuesday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange resulted in 16 securities changing hands on Tuesday versus 15 on Monday, leading to modest changes in the market indices but increased volume.
Trading ended with 929,502 shares at a value of $9,159,390, compared to 365,936 shares at a value of $4,532,887on Monday. Market activity ended with the prices of 2 stocks advancing, 4 declining and 9 remaining unchanged.
At close of the market, the Composite Index fell 1.02 points on Tuesday to 1,393.44. The All T&T Index shed 2.83 points to 1,766.16, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.11 points to close at 138.22.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 4 stocks closing with the bids higher than the last selling prices and just one with a lower offer.
Gains| Clico Investment Fund increased 2 cents and completed trading at $24.12, with 16,704 stock units changing hands, First Caribbean International Bank rose 3 cents and concluded trading at $8.38, with 109,933 units crossing the exchange. Republic Financial closed with a gain of 4 cents and settled at $121.33, swapping of 11,374 shares and Sagicor Financial gained 15 cents and concluded trading with 56,719 units at $10.50.
Losses| Guardian Media fell 10 cents and settled at a 52 weeks’ low of $9.40, with 1,000 units changing hands and West Indian Tobacco lost 1 cent to end at $109, with investors exchanging mere 9 shares.
Firm Trades| Ansa Merchant Bank ended at $36, with 100,000 stock units trading, First Citizens Bank ended at $40.01, after exchanging 4,429 shares, Grace Kennedy completed trading of 1,894 stock units at $3.62, Guardian Holdings exchanged 2,906 shares at $18, JMMB Group settled at $2.20, with investors exchanging 570,760 shares. Massy Holdings settled at $54.95, with an exchange of 51 units, NCB Financial ended at $10.10, after exchanging 31,279 shares, One Caribbean Media closed at $10.10, with 8,100 units crossing the exchange, Point Lisas ended at $3.75, with an exchange of 242 units crossing the exchange and Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded 14,102 units at $25.50.
