Market activity ended with 21 securities changing hands against 10 on Monday, of which, 5 advanced, 5 declined and 11 remained unchanged. Trading ended with 564,264 shares at a value of $2,594,783 compared to 131,685 shares at a value of $2,561,001, on Monday.
At the close of trading, the Composite Index lost 2.24 points to 1,397.82. The All T&T Index shed 0.21 points to 1,778.68, while the Cross Listed Index declined 0.59 points to close at 137.66.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 1 stock closing with the bid higher than the last selling prices and 3 with lower offers.
Gains| The price of Grace Kennedy increased 5 cents to $3.55, with 13,651 stock units changing hands, Republic Financial rose 48 cents and ended at $121.81, with 5,564 units traded, Sagicor Financial gained 1 cent and ended at $10.11, with investors exchanging 1,000 shares. West Indian Tobacco closed with an increase of 19 cents with 178 units trading at $110.19 and Unilever Caribbean rose 30cents to end at $25.30, with 435 units crossing the exchange.
Losses| Ansa McAl dropped 18 cents and concluded swapping of 1,144 shares at $55.20, Guardian Holdings declined 5 cents and settled at $18.30, with 200 units crossing the exchange, JMMB Group closed 25 cents lower and ended at $2.25, with investors exchanging 491,224 shares. Scotiabank dropped 1 cent in trading 1,286 stock units and ended at $59.73 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL lost 30 cents trading 3,088 units to close at $28.30.
Firm Trades| Agostini’s traded 500 shares unchanged at $23.86, Angostura Holdings settled at $15.79, with 1,485 units, Calypso Macro Index Fund traded 100 shares at $14.17, First Citizens Bank ended at $39.75, with 5,036 units traded, Guardian Media closed at $10.75, with 10,613 stock units trading. National Enterprises completed trading with 37 units at $6.20, National Flour settled at $1.69, with an exchange of 4,247 units, NCB Financial completed trading at $10.01, with 5,000 stock units changing hands, One Caribbean Media settled at $10.10, exchanging 99 units, Prestige Holdings traded 1,463 shares at $9 and Trinidad Cement ended at $2.45, with investors exchanging 17,974 shares.
