Junior Market moves up over Tuesday

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed on Wednesday, with the market rising as more stocks fell than rose after investors traded 10 percent more shares than on Tuesday.
Trading concluded with 34 securities changing hands compared to 31 on Tuesday and ended with the prices of 17 stocks rising, the prices of 12  declining and five with prices remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index advanced by 26.41 points to settle at 2,564.59. The average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.3 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of  2,584,097 shares for $13,160,131 compared to 2,347,642  units at $7,227,746 on Tuesday.
Express Catering led trading with 686,413 shares for 26.6 percent of total volume followed by Caribbean Flavours with 316,756 units for 12.3 percent of the day’s trade and Fontana with 227,636 units for 8.8 percent market share.
Trading ended with an average of 76,003 units at $387,063 in contrast to 75,730 at $233,153 on Tuesday. The month to date, average trade resulted in an exchange of 111,413 units at $338,882, in comparison to 113,855 units at $335,560 on Tuesday. Trading in  July resulted in an average of 248,153 units at $668,727.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading for the market shows two stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
At the close of the market, Access Financial lost $3.92 to settle at $20.08 with investors trading 2,828 shares, AMG Packaging gained 15 cents to end at $1.70 with an exchange of 1,500 stock units,  Blue Power slipped 1 cent to $3.06 with 35,984 shares traded. Caribbean Assurance Brokers gained 14 cents to close at $2.05 with 1,500 units changing hands, Caribbean Cream added 2 cents to end at $3.97 with an exchange of 5,789 stock units. Caribbean Flavours dropped $1.01 to finish at  $18.49 in trading 316,756 units, Consolidated Bakeries declined by 9 cents to close at $1.36 with  76,000 stock units crossing the market, Derrimon Trading fell 29 cents to $2.51 with investors switching ownership of 8,050 stocks. Everything Fresh rose 6 cents and traded 2,900 stock units to settle at 71 cents, Express Catering finished 5 cents higher at $4 with 686,413 units passing through the market, Fontana lost 12 cents and exchanged 227,636 units to settle at $4.82. Fosrich slipped 5 cents to close at $3.70, with 2,327 units changing hands, General Accident advanced 5 cents to end at $6.34  with investors transferring 11,000 shares, Honey Bun gained 1 cent to finish at $5.10  with investors switching ownership of 2,285 units. iCreate increased by 2 cents to close at 70 cents with  15,331 stock units traded, Indies Pharma gained 7 cents in the exchange of 74,978 stock units to settle at $2.82, Jamaican Teas fell 4 cents to finish at $4.90  with 43,715 stock units changing hands. Jetcon Corporation closed 2 cents higher at 84 cents in the exchange of 33,751 shares, Lasco  Distributors lost 9 cents to end at$3.15 with investors switching ownership of 63,559 units, Lasco Financial traded 163,583 stock units and fell 7 cents to settle at $2.09. Lasco Manufacturing gained 9 cents to finish at $3.98 with 33,050 shares traded, Limners and Bards traded 133,577 stocks and advanced 23 cents to close at $2.51, Lumber Depot ended 5 cents higher at $1.05 with investors transferring 92,005 stock units.  Mailpac Group exchanged 217,089 stocks and gained 3 cents to settle at $2, Main Event declined by 10 cents to finish at $3.40 with investors switching ownership of  7,198 stock units, Medical Disposables lost 10 cents to end at $5 with 52,970 stock units traded. Stationery and Office Supplies climbed 20 cents to close at $5.80, with investors transferring 142 shares and tTech advanced by 8 cents to settle at $5.49  with 2,948 units crossing the exchange.
In the preference segment, CAC 2000 9.5% fell 17 cents in ending at $1.03 in an exchange of 500 shares.

Junior Market rises on Monday

Shares trading on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday jumped 179 percent over Friday level after the value of stocks exchanged surged 344 percent, leading to slightly more stocks rising than declining.
Trading ended with 27 securities changing hands compared to 32  on Friday and ended with the prices of 11 stocks rising, the prices of 10  declining and six, with remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index increased 20.95 points to settle at 2,528.12, the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.3 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 3,397,455 shares for $14,814,214  compared to 1,217,915 units at $3,340,277 on Friday.
Caribbean Assurance Brokers led trading with 1.50 million shares for 44.2 percent of total volume followed by Caribbean Flavours with 500,000 units for 14.7 percent of the day’s trade and Express Catering with 333,854 units for 9.8 percent market share.
Trading ended with an average of 125,832 units at $548,675 in contrast to 38,060 at $104,384  on Friday. For the month to date, the average trade resulted in an exchange of 116,414 units at $342,431,  in comparison to 115,829 units at $329,630 on Friday. Trading in July resulted in an average of 248,153 units at $668,727 changing hands.

At the close of the market, AMG Packaging carved out a gain of 2 cents to settle at $1.73 with investors swapping 500 shares, Caribbean Assurance Brokers lost 16 cents to end at $2.06 in exchanging  1,500,010 shares, Caribbean Cream gained 62 cents and ended at $4.74, with 4,554  units passing through the market. Caribbean Flavours rose 5 cents to  $15, with 500,000 stock units passing through the market, Caribbean Producers carved out a gain of 5 cents to close at $2.45, with 19,685  units changing hands, Consolidated Bakeries rose 7 cents in closing at $1.45, with 73,982  units crossing the market. Derrimon Trading declined by 6 cents to end at $2.71 while exchanging  250  shares, Elite Diagnostic lost 25 cents to end at $3.10 in clearing the market with  10,000 stocks, Everything Fresh declined by 9 cents to end at 63 cents,  trading  5,000 shares. Express Catering gained 50 cents in ending at $4,  with 333,854 stocks crossing the market, Fontana rose 10 cents to settle at $4.98 to clear the market with 16,441 units, General Accident increased 29 cents to close at $6.99 and finishing, with 9,232  stocks changing hands. Honey Bun lost 26 cents to end at $4.83 while exchanging 140 shares, Indies Pharma carved out a gain of 30 cents to end at $2.80 while trading  5,330 units, Jamaican Teas dropped 4 cents to close at $4.65,  after 189,603 shares changed hands. Lasco Distributors shed 24 cents to end at $3  while exchanging 234,800 units, Lasco Manufacturing climbed 19 cents to $3.80 and crossed the exchange, with 34,147 stocks, Limners and Bards lost 8 cents in closing at $2.66  in trading 120,301 stock units. Lumber Depot shed 3 cents to end at $1.02 with investors swapping 102 shares, Mailpac Group climbed 4 cents to $2.07  trading 170,007 stock units and Main Event dropped 57 cents to settle at $3.40 after exchanging 1,356 units.

Recovery for Junior Market

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed on Thursday, with the market rising after more stocks rose than declined as investors traded 24 percent fewer shares with a value that was 31 percent lower than on Wednesday.
Trading ended with 31 securities changing hands compared to 30 on Wednesday and concluded with the prices of 18 stocks rising, nine stocks declining and the prices of four remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index advanced by 18.79 points to settle at 2,539.27, the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.3 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 1,285,358 shares for $2,896,174 compared to 1,689,114  units at $4,189,210 on Wednesday.
Lumber Depot led trading with 347,991 shares for 27.1 percent of total volume followed by   Everything Fresh with 237,357 units for 18.5 percent of the day’s trade and Lasco Distributors with 107,689 units for 8.4 percent market share.
Trading ended with an average of 41,463 units at $93,425 in contrast to 56,304 at $139,640 on Wednesday. For the month to date, the average trade resulted in an exchange of 122,004 units at $347,515, in comparison to 128,736 units at $368,689 on Wednesday. Trading in July resulted in an average of 248,153 units at $668,727.

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed on  Wednesday, declined after more stocks fell than rose, with investors trading 45 percent more shares than on Tuesday.

Junior market in big points drop

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Index dived 54.19 points to settle at 2,540.11 when the trading closed on Monday, after falling stocks, overwhelmed those rising and investors traded 38 percent more shares with four percent less value than on Friday.
Trading ended with 34 securities changing hands compared to 27 on Friday, with the prices of seven stocks rising, the prices of 19 declining and eight remaining unchanged.  At the close of the market, the average PE Ratio of the market ended

Junior Market ends with sharp climb

Advancing and declining Junior Market stocks were evenly matched at the close of trading on Wednesday, after an exchange of 82 percent fewer stocks than Tuesday’s heightened level.
Trading ended with 31 securities changing hands compared to 33 on Tuesday and ended with the prices of 12 stocks rising, the prices of 13 stocks declining and six ended, with the prices remaining unchanged.

Heavy Junior Market trading

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed on Tuesday, with the market slipping slightly after rising stocks just edged out declining ones, with after investors traded more than three times more shares and four and a half times the value than on Monday.

Mailpac dominated trading on Tuesday after the company posted 33% revenues rise.

Trading ended with 33 securities changing hands compared to 32 on Monday and ended with the prices of 14 stocks rising, the prices of 13 stocks declining and six remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index shed 5.95 points to settle at 2,603.41, the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.44 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 10,650,793 shares for $25,292,615 compared to 3,157,585 units at $9,033,381 on Monday. Mailpac Group led trading with 4.34 million shares for 40.7 percent of total volume, after the company posted second-quarter results showing a 33 percent rise in revenues and 25 percent rise in profits. Lasco Financial followed with 3.43 million units for 32.2 percent of the day’s trade and Lasco Distributors with 779,939 units for 7.3 percent market share.

Junior market inches higher

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended trading on Monday, with the market index inched higher after more stocks fell than rose, with investors exchanging 20 percent more shares than on Friday.
Trading ended with 32 securities changing hands compared to 31 securities on Friday and ended with the prices of nine stocks rising, twelve declining and eleven remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index carved out a gain of just 3.21 points to settle at 2,609.36. The average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.7 based on IC Insider.com forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 3,157,585 shares for $9,033,381  compared to 2,637,466 units at $9,741,864 on Friday.
Lumber Depot led trading with 806,750 shares for 25.5 percent of total volume, followed by MailPac Group with 543,553 units for 17.2 percent of the day’s trade and Fontana with 518,938 units for 16.4 percent market share.
Trading ended with an average of 98,675 units at $282,293 in contrast to 85,080 at $314,254 on Friday. An average of 120,140 units at $337,342 for the month to date, in comparison to 125,549 units at $351,213. Trading in July resulted in an average of 248,153 units at $668,727.

Lasco Financial lost 5 cents to end at $2.30 trading 47,768 stock units, Limners and Bards declined by 4 cents to settle at $2.96 as investors swapped 185,204 shares, Lumber Depot fell 2 cents to $1.04, in an exchange of 806,750 shares. MailPac Group gained 1 cent to end at $2.15, after trading 543,553 shares, Medical Disposables shed 26 cents to settle at $4.93,  with 7,531 units crossing the market and tTech rose 25 cents to end at $6.75 trading 10,097 units.

Junior Market continues to inch higher

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended trading on Tuesday, with the market index advancing as more stocks rose than declined after investors traded a mere 16 percent of Monday’s volume at 22 percent of the value.
Trading ended with 34 securities changing hands compared to 32 on Monday and ended with the prices of 13 stocks rising. Prices of 10 stocks declined and prices of 11 remained unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index advanced by 15.97 points to settle at 2,619.05, and the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.8 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
Market activities concluded with an exchange of 1,625,055 shares for $5,194,150  compared to 9,920,174 shares for $23,681,230 on Monday.

Junior Market starts August off with gains

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended trading on Monday, with the market rising after more stocks rose than declined after investors traded more than three times the shares, exchanged on Friday.
Trading ended with 32 securities changing hands, similar to the activity on Friday and ended with the prices of 13 stocks rising, 12 declining and the prices of seven remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index rose 13.05 points to settle at 2,603.08, and the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 10.7 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 9,920,174 shares for $23,681,230 compared to 2,937,362 units at $11,279,065 on Friday.
Derrimon Trading led trading with 8.40 million shares for 84.7 percent of total volume, followed by Mailpac Group with 538,932 units for 5.4 percent of the day’s trade and Lasco Distributors with 199,213 units for 2 percent market share.
