2 new highs for junior stocks – Wednesday

Caribbean Cream closed at a new high on Wednesday of $8.70 after trading as high as $10.20.

The Junior market closed on Wednesday, with much more stocks trading than on Wednesday. Traded volume jumped 520 percent above Tuesday’s low level, as the value climbed sharply as well. At the close 7 stocks gained, while 2 declined out of 18 securities that traded, up from 10 on Tuesday, as two stocks closed at new highs.
The market index gained 8.17 points, to close at 2,274.27. Market activities ended with 5 securities closing with bids higher than their last selling prices and 3 ending with lower offers.

Trading ended with 3,294,451 units changing hands, 520 percent more than on Tuesday, while the value traded jumped 597 percent, with $15,960,574, up from $2,288,358 changing hands on Tuesday.
At the close, AMG Packaging traded 25,500, shares with the price dropping $1.95 to close at $15.55, Blue Power rose 98 cents with 615 shares trading and closed at a new high of $21, CAC 2000 closed with 2,000 shares changing hands at $6.40. Caribbean Cream gained 40 cents and closed with 6,823 shares changing hands at a 52 weeks’ high of $8.70, after trading as high as $10.20, Caribbean Flavours lost 50 cents in trading 30,000 units to close at $8, Caribbean Producers traded 19,171 shares and fell 35 cents to close at $3.25. Consolidated Bakeries closed with a loss of 5 cents at $2.35 with 16,121 units changing hands. C2W Music ended with 210,483 shares trading at 20 cents, General Accident closed trading with 86,147 units at $2.30, Honey Bun rose 33 cents in trading 27,760 units to end at $5.85, Jamaican Teas traded only 220 units but declined by 20 cents to end at $3.80. KLE Group traded 66,000 units and rose by 10 cents to close at $1.50. Knutsford Express Services ended with 740 units trading at $26, but ended trading with the stock on offer at $25 to sell 38,260 units. Lasco Distributors closed with 1,409,630 units trading, ended with a rise of 5 cents at $7, Lasco Financial lost 35 cents with 1,266,578 shares changing hands at $3.10. Lasco Manufacturing fell 9 cents and closed at $4.36 with 1,652 shares trading, Medical Disposables rose by 30 cents in trading 40,933 shares and closed at $3.85 and tTech rose 70 cents in trading 84,078 shares at $6.

The Junior market closed on Monday, with limited trades that fell 63 percent below Friday’s levels, but with a few more securities traded than on Friday. At the close, only 6 stocks had changes in their prices as 2 gained, while 4 declined out of 14 securities that traded, up from 12 on Friday.
The market index rose just 4.21 points, to close at 2,280.42 and is up 27 percent for the year to date.

AMG stock price jumped $2.50 in trading on Friday to $19.20.

The Junior market closed on Friday, with Lasco Distributors dominating trading volume with 82 percent of the total market volume. Far fewer securities traded than on Thursday, the market index fell 22.64 points, to close at 2,276.21.
Trading ended with 844,487 units changing hands, 54 percent less than on Thursday, while the value traded dropped 41 percent from Thursday, with $5,439,011 changing hands on Friday. At the close 5 stocks gained, while 4 declined out of 12 securities that traded, down from 19 on Thursday.

The Junior market closed on Thursday, with greater volume and more securities trading than it did on Wednesday, the market index jumped 70.92 points, to close at 2,298.85. Trading ended with 1,832,518 units changing hands, 23 percent more than on Wednesday, while the value rose 34 percent from Wednesday, with $6,870,963 changing hands on Thursday.

The Junior market closed on Tuesday, adding to the gains enjoyed on Monday with a jump of 39.80 points in the market index, to close at 2,234.94 as trading in tTech and Jetcon Corporation shares dominated trading volume on a day when C2W Music traded at a new low of 17 cents.
The market closed with 1,397,863 units trading, 13 percent more than on Monday, but the value traded fell 24 percent from Monday, with $6,429,584 changing hands on Tuesday. Trading in the junior market resulted in 7 stocks rising, down from 8 on Monday, while 5 declined up from only 1 on Monday out of 14 securities that traded.

Trading ended with 5 securities closing with bids higher than their last selling prices and 3 ending with lower offers.
At the close, AMG Packaging ended at $14.55, with 1,900 units changing hands, Caribbean Cream lost 50 cents to close with 78,131 shares changing hands at $7.50, at the close there was only three offers to sell 16,000 shares between $8 and $9.50. Knutsford Express closed with 1,007 units changing hands to end at $25, but had only 248 shares on offer at the close at $29.50, Lasco Distributors ended with 11,702 shares changing hands with a loss of 10 cents at $6.60, Lasco Financial ended with 29,623 shares changing hands at $3.25, for a fall of 28 cents. Lasco Manufacturing fell 20 cents and closed at $4.65 with 71,642 shares trading and tTech jumped by 50 cents in trading 703,333 shares at $5. C2W falls to a new low on the JSE on Tuesday.

The Junior market closed on Monday with a gain of 18.26 points in the market index, to close at 2,195.14 as the market continues in consolidation mood but the majority of stocks trading gained but C2W Music closed at a new low of 20 cents. Jetcon Corporation traded nearly 16,000 units at $3.50 but the trade was cancelled as the price change was above 15 percent, with less than an hour for trading to close and allow for the price freeze to be removed so that the stock could trade for the day.
At the end of trading only 8 stocks rose up from 7 on Friday, while only 1 declined down from 3 on Friday out of 13 securities that traded. The market closed with 1,236,624 units trading, 11 percent less than on Friday, ICI Jm sum 5-09-16

as the valued traded is 31 percent more than on Friday, with $8,459,914 changing hands on Monday. Trading ended with 5 securities closing with bids higher than their last selling prices and 3 ending with lower offers.

ISP Finance traded at a new high of $6 on Friday

The Junior market closed on Friday with a fall of just 4.13 points in the market index, to close at 2,176.88 as the market continues in consolidation mood but as Cargo Handlers jumped $5.99 to a new high of $82, with 915 shares changing hands, to record gains of 116 percent for the year to date. ISP Finance jumped 78 cents and gained 200 percent since listing in March, to close at a new high of $6 while trading 22,082 shares.

The junior market closed on the first day of September with a drop of 35.92 points in the market index , to close at 2,181.01 as the market index continues in consolidation mood but as Caribbean Producers dropped 53 cents in light of a sharp fall in audited profits for the financial year to June, released by company on Wednesday.
