Trading levels climbed on Monday with broad based involvement of Junior Market companies, except for just three to end with 35 securities changing hands, compared to 30 on Friday.
At the close of trading, prices of 12 stocks rose, 16 declined and 7 remained unchanged. The market index inched 1.14 points higher to close at 3,129.48.
Market activities ended with 2,681,294 units at $18,082,806 changing hands, compared to 3,154,186 units valued at $11,105,777 previously.
Trading ended with an average of 76,608 units for an average of $516,652 in contrast to 105,140 units for an average of $370,193 on Friday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 182,331 shares carrying a value of $789,233 compared to 195,406 shares carrying a value of $822,944 previously. In contrast, May closed with an average of 81,626 units for an average of $311,248 for each security traded.

At the close of the market, Access Financial ended market activity exchanging 500 shares to close at $43.50 after falling $1.50, AMG Packaging traded 6,047 shares at $2, Blue Power closed at $4.50 as 14,513 shares were exchanged, CAC 2000 declined 24 cents to settle at $12.76. Cargo Handlers lost 5 cents to settle at a 52 weeks’ low of $9.20, Caribbean Cream exchanged just 600 units to end at $5.50, Caribbean Flavours closed with 222 shares trading at $14.30, Caribbean Producers ended trading with 7,000 shares, after rising 20 cents to $5. Consolidated Bakeries ended market activity exchanging 3,458 shares to close at $1.76 after falling 4 cents, Derrimon Trading dipped 10 cents in trading 603,842 units to close at $2.70, Dolphin Cove closed 29 cents higher at $12, with 1,000,000 stock units trading, Everything Fresh closed with a rise of 1 cent to $1.62, with an exchange of 2,189 stock units. Elite Diagnostic closed at $3.85 in exchanging 126,160 shares trading, Express Catering traded 76,711 stock units in closing at $7, FosRich Group climbed 20 cents exchanging 53,543 shares at $5, Fontana dipped 15 cents in trading of 181,035 units at $4.20.
