Sharp jump for Junior Market

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed trading on Tuesday with the Market Index jumping 43,88 points to close at 3,157.54 as the prices of 8 securities rising, 4 falling and 10 remaining unchanged
The market closed with 22 securities changing hands, resulting in an exchange of 1,541,445 units valued at $5,341,261 compared to 1,343,967 units valued at $5,105,838 on Monday from trading in 25 stocks.
Trading ended with an average of 70,066 units for an average of $242,785 in contrast to 53,759 units for an average of $204,233 on Monday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 193,704 units at a value of $1,076,071, versus 204,672 units at a value of $1,149,992, previously. November, ended with an average of 190,475 units valued at $653,358 for each security traded.

At the close of the day’s activity, Access Financial closed with a loss of 3 cents at $47.50, trading 207 shares, Cargo Handlers settled at $15, with an exchange of 3,000 shares, Caribbean Cream ended trading 105,800 shares and rose 60 cents higher to $6, Caribbean Producers finished trading at $5.30, with 26,157 units changing hands, Consolidated Bakeries closed with a loss of 10 cents at $1.90, with trading in 500 shares. Derrimon Trading ended at $2.55, with an exchange of 26,666 shares, Elite Diagnostic closed 2 cents higher at $2.89, with 19,246 stock units changing hands, Eppley settled at $9, with trading in 2,460 units, Everything Fresh ended trading of 431,780 shares to close at $1.30, Express Catering closed trading of 37,000 shares and rose 50 cents to $8. FosRich Group traded 9 cents higher to $3.94, with 68,815 shares trading, Honey Bun ended at $3.50, with 3,000 units changing hands, Indies Pharma traded 112,128 shares to close at $3.20,  Jetcon Corporation  ended trading with 32,100 stock units and rose 1 cent higher to $3.01,  Knutsford Express  closed at $11.50, with an exchange of 13,167 shares. Lasco Distributor  ended 5 cents higher at $3.80, trading 553,428 shares, Lasco Financial  concluded trading of 10,225 stock units and rose 15 cents to $4.15,  Lasco Manufacturing  finished 45 cents higher at $3.50, after trading 41,640 units, Medical Disposables  ended trading of 2,457 shares, rising 30 cents higher to $6.80. Paramount Trading closed with a loss of 7 cents at $2.45, with 20,669 shares changing hands, SSL Venture Capital traded 1,000 shares and ended at $2 and Stationery and Office finished trading of 30,000 stock units with a loss of 40 cents to close at $8.10.
