Productive Business Solutions topped trading on the US Dollar Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Thursday, after an exchange of 2.4 million of its shares accounting for 94 percent of the overall volume of shares traded in the market. The volume and value of stocks traded sank 97 percent compared to Wednesday, following an exchange of six securities, down from nine on Wednesday, with prices of two rising, two declining and two ending unchanged.
The market closed with an exchange of 2,598,880 shares for US$847,483, after tumbling from the huge 75,013,983 stock units at US$25,753,494 on Wednesday, which was also fueled mainly by Productive Business Solutions.
Trading ended with an average of 433,147 shares at a value of US$141,247 compared with 8,334,887 stock units at US$2,861,499 on Wednesday, with a month to date average of 1,247,923 units at US$418,941, dipping from 1,332,210 stock units at US$447,668 on the previous day and May, with an average of 180,903 units for US$8,607.
The US Denominated Equities Index rose 0.45 points to 232.48. The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows four stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.

At the close of trading, First Rock Real Estate USD share sank 0.01 of one cent to 2.86 US cents after a transfer of 150 shares, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy rallied 1 cent to finish at 28 US cents with 57 stocks passing through the market, Productive Business Solutions remained at 34.4 US cents in an exchange of 2,441,766 shares. Proven Investments ended at 6.95 US cents with 771 stock units clearing the market, Sygnus Credit Investments skidded 0.14 of a cent in closing at 5.85 US cents in trading 18,033 units and Transjamaican Highway popped 0.08 of a cent to end at 4.78 US cents with 138,103 shares crossing the market.
