No stock gained in trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as bears took hold of the market for the day driving down prices of seven stocks and held prices of 10 unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index slipped 3.32 points to close at 1,510.14. The All T&T Index dropped 9.81 points to end at 1,926.50, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a rise of 0.44 points to end at 148.16.
The market ended with no stock gaining, seven declining while ten remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in 17 securities changing hands with an exchange of 484,954 shares valued $9,602,347, compared to 675,573 shares valued $8,580,075, with 18 securities trading on Monday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
Losses| Angostura Holdings traded 310 shares and lost 5 cents to close at $16.30, Ansa Merchant Bank lost $1.70 in closing at $376.30 after 5,773 units changed hands, First Citizens Bank exchanged 740 stock units and lost $1 to settle at $49. JMMB Group shed 3 cents to end at $2.65, with investors trading 750 stock units. Massy Holdings lost 11 cents trading 2,029 stock units at $62.51, Republic Financial Holdings traded 3,998 shares and lost 1 cent to close at $145. Trinidad & Tobago NGL transferred 11,130 shares and fell 10 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $20.40
Firm Trades| Ansa McAl exchanged just 15 shares at $55.55, 
Calypso Micro Index Fund traded 1,840 shares at $16, Clico Investment closed trading with 228,730 units at $28.60, Grace Kennedy traded 1,000 units to close at $3.85. Guardian Holdings traded 18,187 shares to end at $22.25, National Enterprises traded 765 shares to end at $5.51.,NCB Financial traded 5,081 shares at $11.35, Point Lisas traded 194,126 shares at $3.75. Prestige Holdings exchanged 275 at $8.99, Scotiabank traded 10,180 units to end at $62.50, One Caribbean Media close at $7.75 while exchanging 1,100 shares and West Indian Tobacco closed at $39 while trading 300 stock units.
