The Trinidad and Tobago Stock market continues to slide and closed trading on Wednesday, with a modest slippage in the market index as declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones.
The T&T Composite Index slipped 2.61 points to 1,259.77. The All T&T Index declined by 5.18 points to end at 1,687.86 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 112.46.
The market closed with three stocks rising and five stocks declining, while six were unchanged while two closed at 52 weeks’ lows. The volume of stocks passing through the market climbed to 615,324 shares valued at $9,462,933 compared to 279,123 shares for $3,953,256 on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than their last selling prices and four with lower offers.
Gainers│ Clico Investments advanced by $3.22 to close at $24.72, with 220,301 shares crossing the market, Guardian Holdings gained 2 cents to close at $17.95, in trading 4,677 units and National Flour rose 10 cents to $1.15, with 2,000 stock units changing hands.
Losers│ Massy Holdings declined by $2 to $48 after exchanging 45,590 shares, Republic Financial Holdings shed $1.05 to close at $135, after transferring 609 units, Scotiabank shed 25 cents trading 471 stock units to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $54.50. 
Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 49 cents swapping 3,000 units and closed at $18.51 and Unilever Caribbean fell by 65 cents to finish at a 52 weeks’ low of $18.25, with 2,298 stock units crossing the market.
Firm Trades│ Calypso Macro Index Fund traded 70 units at $16, First Citizens closed at $37.99 with an exchange of 3,665 units, NCB Financial transferred 221,796 shares at $7.25. One Caribbean Media ended at $6.50, with 1,050 units changing hands, Trinidad Cement swapped 106,297 shares at $1.80 and West Indian Tobacco ended at $30.90, with 3,500 units changing hands.
