Majority of TTSE stocks closed firm

Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Monday with trading in 16 securities against 13 on Friday, with 2 advancing, 2 declining and 12 remaining unchanged.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index lost 0.98 points to end at 1,390.85. The All T&T Index fell 1.44 points to 1,748.55, while the Cross Listed Index declined 0.07 points to close at 139.98.
Trading ended with just 43,050 shares at a value of $1,201,598, compared to 291,395 shares at a value of $6,173,837 shares on Friday.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 5 stocks closing with the bids higher than the last selling prices and 2 with lower offers.
Gains| Clico Investment Fund gained 2 cents and concluded at $24.17, with investors exchanging 4,567 shares and Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded a mere 220 units and rose 1 cent to close at $25.01.
Losses| Massy Holdings closed with a 5 cents loss and completed trading of 1,111 units at $54.40 and Republic Financial shed 19 cents in closing at $121.81, with investors exchanging 750 shares.
Firm Trades| Angostini’s traded 524 shares and closed at $24, Ansa Mcal completed trading of 9,364 shares at $55, First Citizens Bank settled at $40.39, with 35 units changing hands, Guardian Holdings ended at $18.10, with 5,842 units crossing the exchange, JMMB Group completed trading of 8,386 units at $2.25. National Flour ended at $1.68 with 3,474 units changing hands, NCB Financial completed trading of 48 units at $10.40, One Caribbean Media settled at $10, with 607 units crossing the exchange, Sagicor Financial ended at $10.20, with an exchange of 1,630 stock units. Scotiabank ended at $58.60, with an exchange of 3,284 units, Trinidad Cement settled at $2.10, trading 2,700 stock units and West Indian Tobacco completed trading at $105, with an exchange of 508 stock shares.
