Junior Market gives up some gains – Tuesday

Having enjoyed two days of strong gains, the Junior Market index gave back some of the gains despite advancing stocks out numbering declining ones on Tuesday.
At the close of market activities, 28 securities changed hands, compared to 30 on Monday, resulting in prices of 13 advancing, 9 declining and 6 remaining unchanged leaving the index falling 15.27 points to close at 3,103.02.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 8,807,543 units valued $41,064,037 compared to 2,781,261 units valued at $12,194,821 changing hands on Monday.
Trading ended with an average of 314,555 units for an average of $1,466,573 in contrast to 92,709 units for an average of $406,494 on Monday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to units 199,807 valued at $918,256. In contrast, April closed with an average of 81,626 units for an average of $311,248 for each security traded.

At the close of the market, AMG Packaging ended at $2, with 138,475 stock units changing hands, Blue Power concluded trading of 12,000 units and rose 2 cents to end at $4.52, Cargo Handlers settled with a loss of 2 cents at $9.30, with 12,000 shares crossing the exchange. Caribbean Producers ended trading of 6,001,795 units and lost 30 cents to close at $4.50, Consolidated Bakeries closed 1 cent higher at $2.01, with 35,400 shares changing hands, Derrimon Trading ended with a loss of 1 cent at $2.94, with an exchange of 51,579 shares, Dolphin Cove concluded trading of 304,500 shares at $12. Elite Diagnostic exchanged 47,458 shares and rose 19 cents to close at $3.99, Express Catering lost 30 cents to close at $6.50, with 29,504 shares crossing the exchange. FosRich Group rose 5 cents to close at $5, with an exchange of 30,364 shares, Fontana closed 3 cents higher at $4.38, with 1,498,782 stock units changing hands, General Accident gained 25 cents to close at $4.45, with an exchange of 19,242 units, GWest Corporation concluded trading of 90,500 shares with a loss of 5 cents at $1.21. Honey Bun finished with a loss of 35 cents at $5.65, with 112,083 shares changing hands, Indies Pharma ended trading with 34,891 stock units at $3.30, Iron Rock traded 8,600 units, with a loss of 34 cents at $3.50, Jamaican Teas closed 32 cents higher at $4.50, with 1,000 shares changing hands. Jetcon Corporation  ended 9 cents higher at $1.95, with an exchange of 21,000 shares, KLE Group  finished 15 cents higher at $2.15, with 10,000 units changing hands, Knutsford Express  climbed $1.10 to $12.90, trading 8,000 shares, Lasco Distributors  ended trading of 84,384 shares with a loss of 15 cents at $3.50. Lasco Financial  rose 16 cents to $4.90, with 57,376 shares changing hands, Lasco Manufacturing  finished the trading 112,100 stock units at $3.85, Main Event closed 45 cents higher at $5.80, with 1,200 units crossing the exchange, Medical Disposables ended at $8, with 40,842 shares trading. Stationery and Office settled 16 cents higher at $9.20, with 24,764 stock units trading, Sweet River lost 46 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ closing low of $2.56, with 1,536 units crossing the exchange and tTech closed at $5.70, with 18,168 shares changing hands.
