Decline for TTSE – Tuesday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange resulted in 16 securities changing hands on Tuesday versus 15 on Monday and a modest slippage in the market indices.
Trading ended with 576,981 shares at a value of $2,260,615, compared to 441,595 shares at a value of $6,727,127 on Monday. Market activity ended with the prices of 2 stocks advancing, 5 declining and 9 remaining unchanged.
At the close of trading, the Composite Index lost 1.73 points to close at 1,395.04. The All T&T Index shed 2.65 points to end at 1,775.73, while the Cross Listed Index declined 0.11 points to close at 137.31.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 4 stocks closing with bids higher than the last selling prices and 1 with lower offers.
Gains| Republic Financial rose 4 cents and settled at $121.33, with an exchange of 794 units and Sagicor Financial ended trading 30,338 shares after rising 21 cents to close at $10.31,
Losses| Angostura Holdings lost 24 cents and ended at $15.79 in trading 400 shares, First Citizens Bank fell 4 cents and completed trading at $40.01, with investors exchanging 745 shares, JMMB Group closed with a loss of 4 cents at $2.15, with 499,675 stock units changing hands. National Enterprises shed 5 cents and completed trading of 10 units to end at a 52 weeks’ low of $6.15 and Scotiabank dropped 28 cents and settled at $59.70, after exchanging 513 shares.
Firm Traded| Clico Investment Fund ended at $24.07, with an exchange of 12,555 units, First Caribbean International Bank closed trading at $8.35, with 3,765 stock units changing hands, Grace Kennedy completed trading of 16,886 stock units at $3.55, Guardian Holdings settled at $18, with investors exchanging 4,090 shares. Massy Holdings completed trading 100 shares at $54.98, National Flour settled at $1.67, with 25 units changing hands, West Indian Tobacco ended at $110, after exchanging 500 shares Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded 6,560 units to close at $27.90 and Trinidad Cement settled at $2.35, with 25 units crossing the exchange.
