Ansa McAl dropped $2, followed by First Citizens Group lost 60 cents in trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday. The number of stocks traded declined 58 percent, with a 19 percent lower value than on Wednesday, resulting in 19 securities changing hands, slipping from 20 on Wednesday and ending with prices of six rising, seven declining and six ending firm.
The market closed with trading of 133,001 shares for $1,719,041 after falling from 313,210 stock units at $2,118,678 on Wednesday.
An average of a mere 7,000 shares were traded at $90,476, down from 15,661 stock units at $105,934 on Wednesday. Trading for the month to date averages 17,685 shares at $130,360, slightly less than 19,271 units at $136,280 on the previous day and higher than the average for June of 14,083 shares at $118,753.
The Composite Index popped 0.42 points to end at 998.24, the All T&T Index slipped 0.09 points to 1,441.99, the SME Index dipped 0.30 points to wrap up trading at 79.13 and the Cross-Listed Index rose 0.14 points to 73.24.

At the close of trading, Angostura Holdings ended at $10.80 with 10 stock units passing through the market, Ansa McAl dropped $2 to $45 in trading 432 shares, AS Bryden remained at $1.40 with traders dealing in 6,005 stocks.
CIBC Caribbean Bank ended at $7.60 with an exchange of 49,520 units, Endeavour Holdings fell 5 cents to end at $15 following trading of 3,150 shares, in the meantime, Eric Solis Marketing dipped 10 cents $4 in an exchange of 500 units. First Citizens Group lost 60 cents to end at $39.25 with an exchange of 14,022 stock units, GraceKennedy rallied 3 cents to close at $3.65 in an exchange of 31,733 units, Guardian Holdings slipped 49 cents to $16.75 with investors swapping 10 shares. Massy Holdings popped 10 cents and ended at $3.60 with a transfer of 2,399 units, National Enterprises remained at $4.71 after an exchange of 425 stocks, National Flour Mills gained 21 cents in closing at $1.75 with 4,832 stock units clearing the market. Point Lisas rose 7 cents to $7.10 in switching ownership of 100 shares, Republic Financial skidded 1 cent and ended at $108.25 after the trading of 2,071 stock units, Scotiabank advanced 1 cent to $45.50 after investors traded 4,652 stock units.
Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 2 cents in closing at $10.01 after a transfer of 8,611 units, Trinidad Cement ended at $1.89 with trading of 5 shares, Unilever Caribbean remained at $14.91 with 2,836 stock units crossing the market and West Indian Tobacco climbed 39 cents to $3.89 after an exchange of 1,688 units.
