44% of TTSE stocks fall on Monday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange rose above Friday’s level with 646,364 shares valued $5,954,527 crossing the exchange compared to just 181,380 shares valued $4,101,034 Friday.
Trading ended with 18 securities changing hands compared to 14 on Friday and closed with 2 advancing, 8 declining and 8 remaining unchanged.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index lost 5.83 points to end at 1,389.55. The All T&T Index shed 3.19 points to 1,748.49, while the Cross Listed Index lost 1.17 points to close at 139.64.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 3 stocks closing with the bids higher than the last selling prices and 4 with lower offers.
Gains| Grace Kennedy rose 1 cent and concluded trading of 249,110 shares at $3.30 and Point Lisas gained 3 cents and ended at $3.75, with 1,000 units changing hands.
Losses| Ansa Mcal shares fell 2 cents and completed trading at $55, with 910 units crossing the exchange, First Citizens Bank fell 1 cent and settled at $40.10, with 1,562 units changing hands, Massy Holdings closed 30 cents and completed trading of 1,802 shares at $54.45. National Enterprises shed 30 cents and ended at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.70, with the trading of 1,088 units, NCB Financial declined 19 cents to settle at $10.31, after exchanging 204,622 shares, Sagicor Financial fell 25 cents and ended at $10.20, with 80,456 units changing hands. Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded 21,214 units and lost 1 cent to close at $24.50 and West Indian Tobacco fell 41 cents and settled at $105, after swapping of 100 shares.
Firm Trades|Calypso Macro Index Fund traded just 120 shares at $15.50, Clico Investment Fund closed at $24.15, with 1,077 stock units changing hands, Angostura Holdings ended at $16.05, with 75,010 stock units trading, Guardian Holdings completed trading 5,573 shares at $18.01. Guardian Media settled at $9, with investors exchanging 1,000 units, JMMB Group ended at $2.24 after exchanging 100 shares, Prestige Holdings completed trading 100 shares at $8.40 and Scotiabank closed trading of 1,520 shares at $58.50.
